In Lebanon I had to pretend to be a man to drive.
Now the wheel is my drum kit. Touch the metal, the beat drops.
I steer my own road.
A dress that plays the beat
Every turn, every shake of the hips is a beat.
The costume is the band.
Fashion you can hear.
Shoulders that drum
They called us camels.
I put the weight on my shoulders and made it drum.
The stereotype becomes the rhythm.
